How to make a Giant snow flake with A4 papers

Updated: Apr 19, 2022

Welcome back everyone!

It's been quite a while since I've uploaded my last post, but I hope you were stay tuned.

Today, I'm going to introduce you to making snowflakes.

And because it is almost Christmas and New years, I've decided to upload some festive craft ideas this month!

Then let's get started!

Step 1: Prepare

What you will need: Scissors, tape, & six colored A4 papers.

Step 2: Fold and cut.

Fold the A4 paper into a neat triangle. There will be a rectangle shape remaining if you have done the same thing that's shown in the picture.

Cut the remaining rectangle that's left, so the triangle and the rectangle seperate.

Step 3: Fold the triangle.

Once you have cut the remaining rectangle piece out, fold the triangle to the side so it makes a smaller triangle.

Step 4: Cut the shape to make 4 stripes.

Then cut into the triangle shape and make 4 stripes(NEVER cut all the way).

Leave about 1~1.5cm gap at the end.

Step 5: Unfold the shape.

Then unfold the paper completely so it looks like the shape in the picture above.

Step 6: Start taping.

Start taping the wings together like shown in the picture above, starting from the very middle ones.

After you have folded your first flaps, flip the shape to the other side and fold the next two flaps.

Keep going on with this pattern, until you reach the last flaps. To explain more, after you have folded a pair of flaps, flip to the other side and fold the next ones. Then flip the shape over again and fold the next ones. Just remember to follow this step each time you fold the flaps.

If you have followed until this step, then that means you have finished one part of a snowflake.

Make all six parts to complete a snowflake.

(Just follow these steps over and over again for each part.)

Step 7. Tape the end part.

Once you have completed step 6 and made all 6 parts of the snowflake, roll a piece of tape and attach it on the very end part of each one(only attach them on one side. Plus, every single part of the snowflake should have it attached on the same direction. For example, if you decided to attach the tape on the left side of it, then you should attach it on the left side of every other parts too.).

Then attach each one by the end parts.

If you attached every part, then you're all finished!

Also, if your snowflake looks something like this:

that means you have done all the steps all correctly, and followed well!

Then I hope you enjoyed crafting.

Thank you for reading this post.

I hope you stay tuned till I upload my next post!
